"Mrs. Robert J. Barrett, 93, 1709 Grandview Blvd., died Wednesday night after a long illness.
The former Ruby M. Howe, she was born March 2, 1874, at Braidwood, Ill. She came to Sergeant Bluff in the late 1890s. She was a member of the First Methodist Church, the Order of the Eastern Star and the White Shrine.
Mr. Barrett died in 1933 in Sioux City.
Survivors include three sons, George F., of Sioux City, Robert W., of Columbia, Mo., and Ralph W. of Jacksonville, Fla.; 12 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren and a great-great-grandchild." Sioux City Journal (Sioux City, Iowa), November 2, 1967
