Come, says Jesus, ye who labor,
From vain striving cease;
Ye heavy laden,

Come, says Jesus, sacred voice,
Come, Ye who made my paths your choice;
Ye who, tossed on beds of pain,
Seek for ease, but seek in vain;

Weary pilgrim, hither come
I will guide you to your home;
Hither come, for here is found
Balm that flows for every wound.

Thou hast long roamed the barren waste,
Weary Pilgrim hiter haste;
Peace that ever shall endure,
Rest, eternal, safe and sure.
