Jeddy was born July, 17, 1936 in Alva, Oklahoma. He was the Son of Thomas S. and Ruth A. Munyon. He lived in Oklahoma until he was 10 years old. In 1946, he moved with his mom and dad and 4 siblings (Gladys, Tom, Raymond, and Nancy) to Glendale, Oregon.

Jeddy spent his remaining childhood years in Glendale where he was educated in the public school system. He participated in sports and played the part of Jedadiah Smith in a school play.

Jeddy, being the oldest of eight children, had to help with the raising of younger siblings and did many chores for the family. He learned at a young age the meaning of the word "work".

He married Orvilla Rose Wilson in Reno, Nevada. Together they had seven children: Helen, Tommy, Angela, Jimmy, Timmy, Mary, and Ann. Jeddy worked in the Oregon lumber mills doing a variety of jobs, such as, loading box cars and pulling the green chain. He enjoyed playing dominoes and cards, but his favorite activity was singing. Jeddy loved to sing country and western songs. He enjoyed talking to people (family, friends, and strangers). In cases in which he did not know a person's name, he called them Ace meaning number 1.

He is survived by: mother, Ruth A. Munyon of Glendale; daughters, Helen Marie Gardner, and Angela Rose Gardner both of Brookings; sons, Thomas Samuel Munyon and James Jess Munyon both of Brookings, and Timothy Scott Munyon of Paris, Texas; sisters, Gladys L. Thomas of Roseburg; Nancy M. Hatton of Myrtle Creek, Anna Mae Hatton of Glendale; brothers, Thomas Munyon of Coos Bay, Wayde Munyon of Roseburg, and Samuel Munyon of Glendale.

He was preceded in death by: father, Thomas S. Munyon; brother, Raymond Munyon; twin daughters, Mary and Ann Munyon.
