ANNA M. HILMER

Mrs. A. R. Hillmer, 62, of Rt. 6, Sturgeon Bay, died Sunday evening at Algoma Memorial Hospital, following a heart attack. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Grace Evangelical Lutheran Church, Valders. The Rev. Paul Hensel will officiate and burial will be in the church cemetery.

The former Anna Maas was born March 14, 1897, at Blue Earth, Minn., daughter of the late Rev. and Mrs. William Maas. She was married to Alex R. Hillmer June 13, 1926, at Wabasso, Minn. After she was graduated from a parochial grade and high school at Watertown, she was employed until marriage by Brandt Automotive Cashier Co. at Watertown. The couple lived in several communities until moving to the Town of Forestville, Door County, where it had been engaged in farming ever since.

Four brothers and three sisters preceded her in death.

Survivors include the husband, two sons, (private); two daughters, (private); a brother Walter of Rt. 6, Sturgeon Bay; a sister, Mrs. Dora Eckhardt of Blue Earth, Minn.; and three grandchildren.

Friends may call at Haucke Funeral Home, Algoma, after 2 p.m. Tuesday until 10:30 a.m. Wednesday when the casket will be removed to the church where the body will lie in state until the hour of service.
