Musician. He was a versatile musician and band leader of Latin Jazz Project. He shared the stage with such other Latino musicians as Eddie Palmieri and Nestor Torres. He promoted music in public schools and universities, and at times, he was a music teacher. This included the Roberto Ocasio Latin Jazz Camp for high school students, which was affiliated with Case Western Reserve University Department of Music. In 2004, the non-profit organization, the Roberto Ocasio Foundation, was established to keep his music and his philanthropic commitments and contributions to the community of Cleveland alive.
