Lucy J. Chambers was born January 2, 1890 in Texas, daughter of Alexander Chambers (1852-1907)and Miranda Isabelle Menefee (1855-1936). Lucy had nine siblings: Martha Ann (1876), Euretta Ellen (1877), Rosetta Pearl (1881), Mary Levicy (1884), Levi Bartholomew (1887), Joseph Richard (1893), Ethel May (1895), Alice Blanche (1899), and Rutha Indimile (1901).

The 1900 Federal Census for Justice Precinct 4, Texas (Erath County) shows Lucy J. Chambers, age 10, born January 1890 in Texas; living with her father, Alexander, a farmer, age 47, born December 1852 in Indiana; and her mother, Isabelle, age 44, born November 1855 in Texas. Also living in the household were six of Lucy's siblings: Ellen, age 22, born October 1877; Mary, age 15, born July 1, 1884; Levi, age 13, born May 1887; Joseph, age 7, born July 1893; Ethel, age 5, born February 1895; and Alice, age 1, born December 1899; all born in Texas.

In about 1908, Lucy married Andy Thurston Robertson, who was born February 7, 1888 in Indian Territory (now Oklahoma), son of Nathan Andy Robertson (1852-1920) and Almoth Luella Street (1866-___). The 1910 Federal Census for Graham, Oklahoma (Carter County) shows Lucy J. Robertson, age 20, born in Texas; and her husband, Andy T. Robertson, a farmer, age 21, born in Oklahoma. Living with them was one daughter, Lela M. Robertson, age 1 year 6 monts, born in Oklahoma.

Andy died February 18, 1975 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma (Oklahoma County) and was buried there in the Rose Hill Burial Park. Lucy died in March 1983 and was buried in Rose Hill Burial Park.

Lucy J. Robertson, age 93 of Oklahoma City, passed away Saturday after a long illness, at Hillcrest Hospital, Oklahoma City. She was a member of Lakeview Baptist Church.

Survived by five daughters, one sister, 20 grandchildren, 54 great-grandchildren and 25 great-great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held 10 a.m., Thursday, at Hunter Memory Chapel. Burial will follow in Rose Hill Cemetery.
