Farm boy joined Civilian Conservation Corps during the 1930's. Loved his wife Amy Lee Maness Long, mother of Gerald, Ann, Sandra, and Billy. He was a good citizen, good father and family man. Billy Graham came to town and preached. He became Christian. Owner of Concrete Business. Loved to smoke Winston cigarettes. Helped build Greensboro to its size.
