Mr. Richard (Rich) Allen Hobbs age 52 of Acworth died Saturday, October 09, 2010. Funeral services will be held 4 pm, Monday October 11, 2010 at North Star Church in Acworth, Georgia. Interment will be 2 pm Tuesday October 12, 2010 at Sand Grove Baptist Church Cemetery in Milan, Georgia.


Born in Wilmington, NC. Mr. Hobbs was a Truck Driver most of his life. He had a passion for sports that was show through his coaching for the Oregon Park Silver Hawks, West Cobb Red Hawks, West Cobb Angels.He was a coach with the Oregon Park Silver Hawks when they won the NWBA 10U Championship. He served on the Board of Directors at Oregon Park, Big Shanty and West Cobb Ball Parks. The Booster Club at Allatoona was one of the area's where he helped along with the Dug- out Club He was a fan of the North Carolina Tar Heels, Georgia Bulldogs, Atlanta Braves, Falcons, and Washington Red Skins. Some of his hobbies were fishing, hunting, riding dirt and street bikes.
