Mr. Clinton Shelby, passed away Wednesday October 31, 1990 at the Coffee Regional Hospital, following an extended illness. He was a native of Ashland Mississippi, but had lived in Douglas for the past 11 years. He was the son of William Thomas "Dan" and Sarah Lane Shelby. He was a member of the Eastside Baptist Church of Douglas.
Survivors include; his wife, Audrey Minor Shelby; 1 daughter, Jan Shelby Arnett, wife of Dr. James D. Arnett; 1 sister, Ruby Childers if Ripley, Miss; 4 brothers, Herman Shelby, Clifton Shelby, Orbrey Shelby all of Ashland, Miss. and Thurman Shelby of Memphis Tenn.; 5 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren
Funeral services were held Friday, November 2, 1990, at 2 pm at the Chapel of Ricketson Funeral Home with the interment in the Douglas City Cemetery.
Ricketson Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
