Was the 1st of 9 children of Robert and Jennie (McGrandle) Allingham.

Married Mildred E. "Millie" Harris on November 17, 1935 at the St. Brigid's Rectory, Pittsburgh, PA.

They had one son,
1) John Henry Alingham Jr. (1934-1980 Note: he died under the name John Henry Stewart).

John was a clerk in a Pittsburgh steel mill.

He died unexpectedly at age 28 from a coronary occlusion.
