She was born February 25, 1929 in Westville, IL, the daughter of Nellie (McDowell) and Lester Bann.
Virginia spent most of her working years as Director of Florida Palm Beach 911 Center in Delray Beach, Florida.
She and her husband, Robert, had lived in Muncie where he was on the Muncie Police Force for 20 years, then, together they owned and operated a hardware store in Elwood before moving to Florida.
She enjoyed cross stitching, puzzles, and training her poodles. Virginia volunteered in an elementary school reading program in Vero Beach, FL.
After her son's death at an early age, Virginia made a family wherever she lived. Her special granddaughter and grandson, Faith and Malachi Senas of Wahiawa, Hawaii, are an example of that family. BELIEVE!
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Robert Robertson; a son, Robert; and a brother, Robert Bann.
There will be no visitation services. Cremation was Virginia's wishes. She will be entombed in Elm Ridge Memorial Park Mausoleum. Elm Ridge Funeral Home, 4600 W. Kilgore Ave., was entrusted with her arrangements.
