He served in garrison at Norfolk harbor, Va., 1818-19; on Recruiting service, 1819-20; on Florida Frontier, 1820-21; as Adjutant, 4th Infantry, at Regimental headquarters, Montpelier, Ala., May, 1821, to Sep. 30, 1822; and on leave of absence, 1822-23. Resigned, Jan. 1, 1823.
