Dorothy H. Colclasure, 90, of Flora, IL died at 10:20 AM Tuesday, January 31, 2012 at Flora Gardens Care Center, Flora.
She was born August 2, 1921 in Louisville, IL to Clyde and Ruby (Conley) Montoney. She married Paul A. Colclasure on September 23, 1947 in Morganfield, KY. He preceded her in death on August 1, 1998.
During her life she worked at Flora International Shoe, the Glove Factory in Effingham, and retired after working in housekeeping at Clay County Hospital in Flora. She was an active member of the Clay County Hospital Auxiliary and a dedicated member of the Flora First Baptist Church.
Dorothy loved being outside tending to her rose garden and other flowers and her grandchildren will always remember her for her decorated sugar cookies.
She is survived by her son: Gregory A. Colclasure; daughter: Kathy Sefton; sister: Yvonne Harris ; 5 grandchildren: Jeremy Sefton, Shelli Slifer, Roger Montoney, Kayler Webb, Susan Tyree; 16 great-grandchildren along with several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, son (Bill Montoney), and an infant daughter (Janet Sue).
The funeral service for Dorothy Colclasure will be held at 2 PM Thursday, February 2, 2012 at Frank & Bright Funeral Home, Flora, with Rev. Jay Keele officiating.
Burial will follow in Elmwood Cemetery, Flora.
