Moved to Houston at an early age and attended school there. Joined the 124th Cavalry, 56th Brigade National Guard in 1940. Served as a bombardier during World War II, flying 25 missions over Germany. Received the Purple Heart for wounds in action and the Distinguished Flying Cross.

Retired from the stock and bond business, member of the VFW Post 4344 in Houston. Survived by wife Geraldine of Kerrville.
