Services will be held Saturday at 2 p.m. at Helke East Chapel, Wausau. The Rev. Jerry Paul of St. Paul's United Church of Christ, Wausau, will officiate. Burial will be in Merrill Memorial Park. Friends may call at 11 a.m. Saturday at the funeral chapel.
The former Minnie Welk was born May 10, 1900, in Merrill, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Welk. On Oct. 16, 1923, in Merrill, she married Olaf Skare, who survives. She was a member of the American Association of Retired Persons.
Survivors besides her husband include three daughters, Mrs. Donald Osness, Tomahawk, Mrs. James Schultz, Waukegan, Ill., and Mrs. Wallace Madden, 1721 Monterey, Schofield; a sister, Mrs. Harold Beltz, Oshkosh; two brothers, Herman Zellmer, 1204 Jackson St., and Roger Welk, 203 N. Prospect, both in Merrill; six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
