Aynor--John Robert Rabon, age 77, of Salem Road, died Friday, March 5, 2010 at his residence.

Mr. Rabon was born in Aynor, a son of the late Johnny Jones and Laura Cleveland Floyd Rabon. He was a member of Salem Baptist Church and was owner and operator of the Atlantic Sands Motel in Myrtle Beach for almost 50 years. Mr. Rabon was a U.S. Air Force Veteran and was a member of the Omar Shrine Temple in Mt. Pleasant and the Millennium Lodge, a Honorary Lodge of the Grand Lodge of Ancient Free Masons of South Carolina. He was predeceased by his wife, Elizabeth Virginia Rabon, and one brother, Jack I. Rabon.

Surviving are three daughters, Renee' Rabon Flowers and her husband, Art of Columbia, Robin Rabon Clamp and her husband, Jerome of Chapin and Rebecca Rabon Johnson of Aynor, six grandchildren, Molly Flowers, Mart Beth Flowers, Carly Clamp, Kolby Clamp, Will Johnson and Carolina Johnson, two sisters, Elizabeth Rogers of Aynor and Barbara Ann Calhoun of Conway.

Funeral services will be held at 4:00 PM Sunday at Salem Baptist Church with Rev. Wayne Revisky and Rev. Gary Harrelson officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery directed by Goldfinch Funeral Home, Conway Chapel
