Mrs. Leo "Kitty" Kent, 76, organizer and first chairman of the Fort Worth Chamber of Commerce women's division, died Sunday at her home at 2525 University Drive South.
Funeral will be at 12:30 p.m. Tuesday at Greenwood Chapel with burial in Greenwood Memorial Park.
Mrs. Kent was a native of Denton and lived in Fort Worth 45 years. She received the first annual Fort Worth Chamber of Commerce president's trophy for her efforts in organizing the woman's division and for being the top membership salesperson in 1964.
She was chairman of women's activities for the Tarrant County United Fund in 1963, was chairman of the American Institute of Park Executives and was commissioner of the Fort Worth Board of Park Commissioners.
She served as president of the Fort Worth chapter of the Federation of Women's Club, University Place Study Club, the University Place Art Club and the Rejebian Afternoon Club.
She was a charter member of the Community Theater and Texas Christian University Fine Arts Guilds. She was director of the Fort Worth Safety Council for 10 years.
She was a sister of the late movie actress, Ann Sheridan.
Survivors are a daughter, Mrs. Ann Cates of Austin; two sisters, Mrs. Bob Day of Fort Worth and Mrs. Mabel Rowton of Waco; three grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
