Miss Bertha J. Fackler, 79, a native of Gettysburg who learned the cigar making trade here and later worked in York, died Sunday evening at 8:45 o'clock in Washington County hospital at Haggerstown after a long illness from a complication of diseases. Her address was 3 W. North St., Hagerstown.

She was a member of The First Christian Church, Hagerstown. Miss Fackler was a daughter of the late Albert and Jessie (Clapsaddle) Fackler and had lived most of her life in Gettysburg and York.

Surviving are one sister, Mrs. Mary Edna Adams, Haggerstown R.1., and a brother, Charles Fackler, Ships Bottom, N.J. There are also three half sisters and a half brother surviving.

The body was taken to Rest Haven Funeral Chapel in Haggerstown where friends may call Tuesday evening from 7 to 9 o'clock. Services will be held there Wednesday afternoon at 2 o'clock with the Rev. Wilbur Hogevoll officiating. Internment in Rest Haven Cemetery.
