WENDELL TOBLER

Wendell Ence Tobler, 88, of Las Vegas, passed away Feb. 12, 2012. He was born April 28, 1923, in Santa Clara, Utah, and was a resident of Nevada since 1950. Wendell was a staff sergeant in the U.S. Army Air Corps during World War II, a former member of the Breakfast Exchange Club and a former president of the Las Vegas Chamber of Commerce. He was a retired grocery store owner. Wendell was preceded in death by his son, Blaine Tobler; two sisters; and four brothers. Wendell is survived by his wife, of 66 years, Golda Tobler; sons, Gary Tobler and Rick (Valorie) Tobler; granddaughter, Brook Tobler; grandsons, Brandon (Amber) Tobler, Justin Tobler and Chad Tobler; great-granddaughter, Presley Tobler; and brothers, Grant (Dorothy) Tobler and Fenton (Carol) Tobler. Visitation will be 5-7 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 16, at Palm Mortuary, 7400 W. Cheyenne Ave. Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday, Feb. 17, at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 9011 Hillpointe. Graveside services will follow at Palm Valley View Memorial Park, 7600 S. Eastern Ave.
