Mrs. Josie B. Casteel
Mrs. Josie B. Casteel, of 2333 Lowell Ave., died at 10:55 a.m. yesterday in Memorial Hospital, where she entered as a medical patient January 5. She was 63 years old.

She was the daughter of the late George & Susan Cox, of Nortonville, and was married to Orien G. Casteel in 1937. Her husband is retired from the Standard Oil Co. foreign service.

Mrs. Casteel was a resident of Springfield for many years, and then moved to the Dutch West Indies, returning here six years ago.

Besides her husband, she is survived by 2 daughters, Mrs. Rachel L. Cross, Niantic, and Mrs. Vera B. Sigretto, Springfield, a brother, Nelson Cox, Bettendorf, Scott County, Iowa; 5 sisters, Mrs. Lodell Hopper, Roodhouse; Mrs. Ada Hull, Santa Ana, Orange County, California; Mrs. Landis Clayton, Alexander; Mrs. Hilda Henry, Jacksonville, and Mrs. Meda Chandoin, Franklin, and several nieces and nephews.
