Arthur Enoch Beane, Jr. "Beanie", 93, of Duxbury, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, Feb. 7, 2012, at the Newfield House in Plymouth. His beloved wife, Mary Elizabeth (Clarke) Beane passed in 2005. He was a graduate of Belmont Hill School and Brown University. Arthur was raised in Brookline and summered in Duxbury. Eventually residing with his wife in Kingston and Duxbury. Arthur was a longtime member of the Philatelic Society and known for his remarkable collection of Massachusetts stamp less covers, as well as his collection of Americana Antiques. He collected and appraised antiques his entire life, sitting on boards at both The Shirley-Eustis House and The Winslow House. Forever an avid Red Sox fan and a dye in the wool Massachusetts Republican. His humor and wit will be missed by his close friends and colleagues.
