From the Reading Eagle, April 12, 1901:

Harry W. Dauth died of lung affection superinduced by grip and typhoid fever, aged 27 years, 9 months and 11 days at 10:45 PM Thursday at his residence, 1209 Elm, after an illness of 8 weeks during which time he was confined to his room. Deceased was the son of Gertrude and the late Charles V. Dauth and prior to his illness was employed as fireman on the Lebanon Valley Road. He was an active member of St. Paul's Catholic Church, the Holy Cross Society and the P&R Relief Association and had a wide circle of friends. Besides his mother, he is survived by three sisters, Katie, Annie, and Laura Dauth, and one brother, Charles Dauth all of this city besides several step-brothers and step-sisters.
