C. Michael Fountain, 72, of Brockton, passed away Feb. 16, 2012, at home surrounded by his family. Born and raised in Taunton, he graduated from Taunton High School in 1957, served in the U.S. Navy for four years and graduated from Boston College. He was an accounting executive with Balfour in Attleboro for 20 years until retirement. Mike was an avid Red Sox and Patriots fan. He enjoyed golf and was a former member and past president of Segregansett Country Club in Taunton. Mike was the beloved husband of Janet (Caruso) Fountain; loving father of Michele Bednarz (and Gary) of Dighton, Denise Wright and Diane Kannair, both of Clarksville, Tenn., and the late Debra Fountain; stepfather of Nancy Francis (and William) of Brockton; grandfather of several; brother of Dennis Fountain of Taunton, Linda Legere of Raynham and Stephen Fountain of Milford; and an uncle. All are welcome to his funeral Saturday at 9:30 a.m. from Waitt Funeral Home, 850 North Main St., Brockton, and funeral Mass at 10:30 a.m. in Christ the King Parish, Brockton.
