Thomas A. Sims, 37, World War veteran, died at 5:30 this morning at home, 429 Avery Avenue, Iron Mountain, Mich. following an illness of the past 4 days.
He enlisted in the World War, he was sent to Russia with the now famous “Polar Bear” expedition & saw active service there. He was a member of the Thomas Uren American Legion Post, Iron Mountain.
Beside is widow, 4 daughters & 2 sons survive: Thalia, Carrol, Joanne, Lucille, Angus & Calvin, all of Kingsford.
The body will be taken to Stalwart, Mich. for burial.
