She was a homemaker and had worked at Essex Wire, Pfizer Genetics, Tipton Hospital, Tipton Nursing Home and Pioneer. Darlene was a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church.
She is survived by one son, Richard A. Bristol and wife Theresa, Windfall; one daughter, Barbara A. Writtenhouse and fiancé Tim Lee, Muncie; seven grandchildren, Megan Griffin, Joshua Bristol, Tyler Bristol, Taylor Bristol, Tabitha Bristol, Kayla Powell and Logan Writtenhouse; two great-grandchildren, McKenzie & Madison Griffin. Darlene is also survived by one sister-in-law, Barbara Malott, New Madison, Ohio. She was preceded in death by one brother, Richard Malott.
Darlene's funeral will be at 2:00 p.m. Friday, March 20 at Young-Nichols Funeral Home with Rev. Leroy Kinnaman presiding. Burial will follow in St. John's Cemetery. Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
