In 1880, Charles Wyatt, a laborer, and Louisa (134712773) Wyatt , a milliner, both 25, and a son, Francis, 6, all born in Iowa, lived in Rockford, Floyd County, Iowa.

In 1900, Charles, 45 & a minister, and Louisa, 45 & mother of four [sic] children, all living (son Phil A. and daughter Harriet M. were still at home), lived in Hardin County, Iowa.

In 1910, Charles, 55 and a "Clergyman, Congregational" and Louisa J., 55 and mother of three children [sic], all living, resided Cheney City, Spokane County, Washington. Both were indicated as Iowa-born.

Louisa died in 1913, and in 1920, Charles, 62 [sic], widower, and a "painter, house," lived in Plummer Village, Benewah County, Iowa, in the household of his son Frederick [sic; this was son Phil Alfred, whose 13-year-old son Charles F. died in Plummer and was buried there a few weeks after the 1920 census was taken], Phil's wife Stella, and five of their kids.

When Francis O. died in mid-1948 in Los Angeles County, the Spokane Daily Chronicle stated, "He was the son of the Rev. Charles Wyatt, pioneer Inland Empire missionary, who died here 20 years ago." (Francis was also a Congregational minister.)

This Rev. Charles Wyatt died in Spokane in November 1928 when struck by an automobile driven by a 15-year-old boy. A news article in The Spokane-Review (Nov. 15, 1928) gave his name as Charles D., his age as 72, and stated he "recently came here to live with his son and family. He formerly was a preacher, but of late years had done a little carpenter work."

The Eagle Rock Reporter-Sentinel (Eagle Rock, Calif.), in quoting from "a Spokane newspaper," stated on November 23 that "Dr. [Francis O.] Wyatt's father...had helped build churches and parsonages in several fields in Iowa and North Idaho."

Charles' death notice reported his remains would be returned to Plummer, Idaho, from where he had come to Spokane. The notice also stated he was survived by two sons, Phil (179842592) of Spokane and Charles [sic; should be F.O., who was pastoring a church near LA at the time; 85553293] of Los Angeles; two sisters [sic], Mrs. Harriet Ziegler (38938674) of La Grande, Oregon [Mrs. Ziegler was his daughter], and Mrs. Emma Dumbolton (17968588) of Montana; and a brother, H.A.[ sic; should be H.E. -- Henry Edward] Wyatt (100202804), Rockford, Iowa.
