WELL KNOWN MAN
DIES OF TUBERCUIOSIS AFTER LONG ILL-
NESS THIS MORNING.

After a long fight with the dread
disease teberculosis, Joseph Durr
passed away at his home on North
Fifth street this morning at 2 o'clock.
Mr. Durr's illnesswas a peculiar one,
in as much as he seemed to be affect-
ed with some complaint other than
the disease which was apparent to
the attending physicians, and at the
request of the relatives a post mor-
tum was held this morning. As a re-
sult it was found that an abscess of
a peculiar nature had formed on one
of the vital organs, which in itself
would have eventually resulted in the
death of the afficted man.
The deceased leaves a wife, mother,
two children, one sister and three
brothers, besides a number of friends.
He has lived in this city for a num-
ber of years, and was liked and re-
spected by all who knew him.
The funeral will be held at the resi-
dence tomorrow afternoon at 3
o'clock, the Rev. Robert Sellers in
charge. Interment in the city ceme-
tary.
