Author, Screenwriter. He was Britain's greatest writer during World War II. Baron wrote books such as "From The City, From The Plough," "There's No Home," and "The Human Kind." As a scriptwriter, he wrote "The Human Kind" was sold to Hollywood as "The Victors." He also sold to Hollywood the movies, "The Golden Princess," "The Siege Of Sidney Street" and "Robbery Under Arms." Throughout the 1960s Baron became involved in television and was a regular writer on "Play For Today." He also wrote mainstream dramas such as "Poldark," "Jane Eyre," "Sense And Sensibility" and "Oliver Twist."
