Scottish Monarch. Son of Alpin MacEochaid, he succeeded his brother Kenneth MacAlpin in 859. He reigned for four years. Little is known of him, other than he successfully crushed the Picts who, with the help of the Saxons of England, attempted to regain their lost throne. He died of natural causes near Scone.
