COLUMBIA - Services for James Edward Wright, 62, will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at Dunbar Funeral Home, Dutch Fork Chapel, with entombment in Bush River Memorial Gardens Mausoleum. Visitation will be from 6-8 tonight at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the Shriner's Hospital or to a charity of one's choice.

Mr. Wright died Tuesday, June 2, 1998. Born in Columbia, he was a son of Jessie Yandle Wright and the late Walter C. Wright. A retired Master Sergeant with the U.S. Air Force, he was a Vietnam veteran. He was the retired owner of Seven Oaks Auto Repair, a member of Dutch Fork Masonic Lodge #402, the Scottish Rite and the Jamil Temple. He was past potentate of the Jamil Temple, past president of the South Atlantic Shrine Association and was an assistant pilot of the Jamil Flying Fezzes.

Surviving are his wife, Jean Hunnicutt Wright; sons, James Edward Wright, Jr., of Columbia and Joseph Randell Wright of Lexington; daughters, Melinda Joyce Hancock of Timmonsville and Melissa Wright Booth of Columbia; mother of West Columbia; brothers, Curtis W. "Buddy" Wright of Cayce, Ralph W. Wright of West Columbia, George A. Wright of Conway, and Albert W. Wright of Williston; sisters, Sarah W. Coker of Columbia, Mary W. Cannon of Greensburg, Pa., and Betty W. Fort of Irmo; nine grandchildren.
