I always knew her as Aunt Dob. She was my Dad's sister and was eleven years older than him. She was his first teacher and according to him gave him no slack. We visited from time to time while I was growing up but I never spent a lot of time with her but I loved her just the same.
When I was about to marry she sent me a nice card and a beautiful message which I've kept all these years, over fifty now. It reads;
"Dear Wayne, I haven't had the pleasure of meeting Nancy Jo but I know she is a lovely girl because you have chosen her to be your Wife. I know it will be a beautiful Wedding wish I could be there to see it all. My thoughts will be with you. I wish all the best of life for you. Enjoy each day as it comes along, life is made of little things, little joys, little sorrows and many hours. Don't ever forget to tell her you love her Wayne, we ladies like to hear that, it never grows old. Love Aunt Dob."
