Both William and Charles joined the law practice of their father, D. W. Iddings, Sr., in the mid-1870s.
William continued the office of Iddings & Iddings after Charles died in 1899. Charles’ sons, Andrew S. Iddings and Daniel W. Iddings, became the next and last generation of Iddings at the Dayton bar. Daniel was the bar’s last historian; Andrew lived until 1974, continuing the family legal dynasty for 128 years.
