Funeral services for Verna Mae Collier Julian, 81, of Georgia, formerly of Cullman were at 11 a.m. Friday, January 30, 2004 at Williams-McCrackin Chapel, the Revs. Dewey Mayfield and Richard Bolin officiating with burial in Cullman Memory Gardens.
Williams-McCrackin Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Julian died, died Monday, January 26 at Gwinnett Medical Center in Lawrenceville, Ga.
She was born in Cullman on May 26, 1922 to Wesley J. and Georgia Tompkins Collier. She was a homemaker. She grew up in Cullman and attended Sacred Heart Academy. She and her husband were long-time members of Eastside Baptist Church in Cullman.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Reuben Julian; a brother, Harvey Collier; and four sisters, Luna Weeks, Mamie Speer, Ora Ruehl and Verdia Smith.
Survivors include two daughers, Kathy Julian Cook of Lawrenceville, Ga. and Vicki Julian Mayfield of Lilburn, Ga.; a brother, Vernon Collier of Hueytown; six grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Gideon's Bibles.
