his name he was known by was Joseph Jean Robert Hammond but was actually Joseph Hamel
son of Ambroise Hamel & Odelie Meniur Lagace/Lagasse from Warwick St Medard Quebec Canada

she died 8 months after Joseph in 1891 child birth of their youngest son, all 6 children were placed by the court system and 1 the oldest son ran away,Robert Hammond, ended up in Sabattus Maine, the youngest, a son Joseph Maurice Hammond was adopted by a distant cousin of the mother, and name changed to Joseph Verrow and lived/ died in Brewer Maine,
Joseph and wife Ada Hammond were both buried in Birch Hill Cemetery, which was torn apart to allow the RT 95 to pass thru in the 1960's, so they are somewhere now in Mt Pleasant Cemetery Brewer Maine
