SUTTER, MARGARET LUCILLE, age 81, died July 4th. She is the beloved widow of Edwin Michael Sutter. She is a graduate with honors from the Talladega School of the Deaf. She was a charter member of St. John's Episcopal Church of the Deaf where she was a member of the Ladies' Auxillary. She was retired frm both Goldstein and Cohen and Blach's as an accomplished tailor. She served in various official positions with the following organizations: The National Association of the Deaf; National Fraternal Society of the Deaf and the Birmingham Chapter of the Alabama Association of the Deaf. She was a member of the Silent Golden Agers, a senior citizens group. Mrs. Sutter is survived by her only child Mr. John Edwin Sutter of Centerpoint; her grandchildren Becky Kee, Carrie Sutter, John Michael Sutter and Miss Kelsey Marie Sutter age two. She also is survived by 6 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 10am at the St. John's Episcopal Church of the Deaf, 3794 Crosshaven Drive in Cahaba Heights. The service will be conducted by Rev. Jay Croft with Lynn Fulton interprettng and burial following at Elmwood Cemetery. Family will receive friends Monday night from 6-8pm at the funeral home. The family requests that memorials be made to St. John's Episcopal Church of the Deaf in lieu of flowers. Her son John will plant a dogwood tree in her honor in the spring.
