Regina “Maxine” Bishop died Sunday, Sept. 14, 2003, at her home in McCook. She was 83 years old.
Maxine was born on March 5, 1920, at Hildreth, to Elvaro Madison and Esther Mabel (Mason) Carpenter.
On July 9, 1944, she married Archie Merl Bishop. They had four children, Allan M., Linda, Margaret & Margery. She was the sister of Irene Carpenter Frattasio & Colleen Carpenter Palmer.
She was a member of Memorial United Methodist Church and Methodist Quilting Group.
Preceding her in death were her parents, Elvaro and Esther Carpenter; and her husband, Archie on Dec. 12, 2002.
Funeral Service will be Thursday, Sept. 18, 9:30 a.m., at Carpenter Breland Chapel with the Rev. Dr. Jeff Thurman officiating. Burial will be in the Riverside Cemetery, Wauneta, at 11:30 a.m. CST. Visitation will be today until 5 p.m. and Wednesday 9 a.m. until 8 p.m. at the funeral home. Carpenter Breland Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
