Amarante O. Trujillo, age 92, of Taos, formerly of Talpa, passed away on March 16, 2012.
Amarante was preceded in death by his parents, Luz and Encarnacion Trujillo, sons, Gregorio Daniel Trujillo and Alonzo Trujillo, grandsons, Marcos Trujillo and Eli Gonzáles, son-in-law, Thomas Salazar, sister, Pablita Trujillo Martínez and brothers, Felipe Trujillo, Felix Trujillo, Guillermo "Willie" Trujillo, Max Trujillo and Facundo Trujillo.
Amarante is survived by his wife of 73 years, Augustina Trujillo, children, Velva Gonzáles and her husband, Maurice, Virginia Salazar, Ernest Trujillo and his wife, Lillian, Orlando Herman Trujillo and his wife, Gloria, Elaine Trujillo and her husband, Antonio, Michelle Trujillo (Linda) and Johnnie Trujillo, brother, José Alfredo Trujillo, 22 grandchildren, 34 great-grandchildren, three great-great-grandchildren, close family friends, Betty Mares, Phillip and Susan Sánchez, many god children and other relatives, friends.
A Rosary will be recited on Tuesday, March 20, 2012 at 7:00 p.m. at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church. Funeral mass will be held on Wednesday, March 21, 2012 at 10:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church. Interment will follow at the New Llano Quemado Cemetery.
