Mrs. Lucius A. Smith, a life long resident of Faribault, passed away at the St. Lucas Convalescent and Geriatric Care Center in Faribault Wednesday Afternoon, July 19, following an extended illness. Funeral services will be held at the Immaculate Conception Church in Faribault Saturday, July 23, at 9:30 a.m. Interment will be made in the family lot in the Calvary Cemetery in Faribault. Friends may call at the Parker Funeral Home Friday afternoon and evening and Saturday morning until the hour of the service. Parish vigil prayers will be recited at the Parker Funeral Home Friday at 8 p.m.
Emma E. Healy, the daughter of pioneer Faribault residents Edward and Ellen Smith Healy, was born in Faribault Oct. 19, 1885. She was a graduated of Bethlehem Academy in Faribault. She was employed in the Register of Deeds office in the Rice County Courthouse. Oct. 20, 1914, she was united in marriage to Lucius A. Smith at Faribault.
Mrs. Smith is survived by her husband, Lucius; by a son, Dr. Wayne D. Smith of Faribault; by two daughters, Mrs. Delbert Caron (Olive) of Alexandria and June Smith of St. Paul; by seven grandchildren; by a brother, Louis J. Healy of Faribault; by nieces, nephews and by other relatives.
