Auto Race Car Driver. Designer and builder of the racing car, "The Mormon Meteor," which was once on display at the Utah State Capitol. The former mayor of Salt Lake City, he held racing records unheard of in his lifetime. One was a twenty four hour continuous record where he stayed in the driver's seat averaging speeds of 118.375 miles per hour and traveled 2,841 miles. He had driven more than two million miles without an accident of any kind.
