On Dec. 23, 1863 at Morristown, VT, Viola m. as his 2nd wife, George Whitman Hendee, then a young attorney who would later become a Governor of Vermont and U.S. Congressman. There were no known children of the marriage.
In 1895, Viola's husband purchased a block at Pleasant View Cemetery on the south side of the Town of Morrisville. According to town records, George's father Jehiel (d. 1851) and his mother Rebecca Ferrin (d. 1898) are interred there along with George's first two of three wives, 1) Melissa Redding (d. 1862) and 2) Viola Bundy. Father Jehiel and 1st wife Melissa were obviously removed from elsewhere to that plot.
