Clinton Kyle Beckett, 90, of Hurricane went to be with the Lord at his home on December 26, 2009.

He was retired from Union Carbide after 33 years of service, an Air Force veteran of WWII, a member of Grace Baptist Temple, St. Albans, and served as a deacon for over 50 years, a Sunday school teacher and was involved in community service.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Ahas and Lula Beckett; beloved son, Douglas Kyle Beckett; great-grandchild, Emily Grace Sturgill; brothers, Minor and Klyde; and sister, Ruby.

Surviving are his wife of 61 years, Jean; daughters and a son-in-law, Kathy and Bruce Casto of Jacksonville and Beth Beckett of Indianapolis; grandchildren, Erin Casto Sturgill and her husband, Ron, Sara Casto, Sabrina Beckett, Natasha Gibson Fuller and her husband, Toma, Ryan Beckett and, Tara, Tyler Beckett; and great-grandchildren, Hannah and Audrey Sturgill and Alberta Henderson of Hurricane.

Funeral service will be 11 a.m. Tuesday, December 30, at Allen Funeral Home with the Rev. James McGehee officiating. Burial will be in Mount Moriah Cemetery.

Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at Allen Funeral Home, 2837 Main St., Hurricane.
