San Francisco Bay area commercial photographer, born in Bodega Corners, California. He traveled extensively in other countries, settling in San Francisco in 1914, where he opened a printing studio in the 1920s as J.K. Piggott Company, located at Third and Mission. Among advertisements and other graphic products, he produced real photo postcards which typically featured scenic shots of the region, including an especially notable series in the 1930s on the new San Francisco-Oakland Bay Bridge. Piggott's son Harold also worked in the business and continued it after his father's death.
