Mrs. Violet E. Hynek, 69, of 4009 Conroe St., Manitowoc, died Saturday evening, August 16, 1986, at the home.

Funeral Services will be 11:30 a.m. Wednesday at Pfeffer Funeral Home and 12 noon at St. Paul Catholic Church, Manitowoc. The Rev. Ronald Reimer will officiate at the Mass of Christian Burial and burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Manitowoc.

Mrs. Hynek, nee Mrs. Violet E. Rocque, was born July 9, 1917, at Dunbar, Wis., daughter of the late Leo and Edwilda Durocher Rocque. She was married to Melvin Hynek, June 9, 1934, at St. Mark Catholic Church, Two Rivers. Mrs. Hynek was employed as a Cook at Salvation Army Day Care Center for the last 6 years and was a past member of American Legion Auxiliary Drews Bleser Post 88.

Survivors include her husband, Melvin Hynek of Manitowoc; five daughters and four sons-in-law, Margaret Hynek of Francis Creek, Judy and Paul Sosnosky of Newton, Pauline and Lee Sand of Two Rivers, Carol and Art Prosek of Neenah and Nancy and Paul Karlin of Manitowoc; a daughter-in-law, Mary Hynek Herrmann of Manitowoc; a sister and brother-in-law, Margaret and Jack Connors of Neguanee, Mich.; her stepmother, Delmina Siewert of Manitowoc; 16 grandchildren; a special family friend, Earl Peters of Manitowoc; nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a son, Roger Hynek, five brothers and two sisters.
