STERLING - Margaret Beth Mead, 76, died March 31, 2012, in Wichita. She was born Jan. 26, 1936, in Sterling, Colorado, to Lawrence and Katherine Smith Terrill. She was a Wichita resident since 2009, formerly of Sterling, Kansas. She was a homemaker and mother. She was a former member of United Methodist Church and Rebecca Lodge, Sterling.
On Oct. 30, 1955, she married Richard Mead in Sterling, Colorado. He survives. Other survivors include: three sons, Tom and Gayla Mead, Wichita, Chuck and Elizabeth Mead, Peabody, and Randy and Sherrie Mead, Dubois, Idaho; a daughter, Dixie Mead, Billings, Mont.; brothers, Robert Terrill, St. Anthony, Idaho, and Richard Terrill, Longmont, Colo.; 16 grandchildren; and 22 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Funeral will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday, April 4, 2012, at United Methodist Church, Sterling, with the Rev. Marvin Ewertt officiating. Visitation will be from 2 to 7 p.m. Tuesday at Birzer Funeral Home, Sterling, with family present from 6 to 7 p.m. Burial will be in Sterling Community Cemetery. Memorials may be sent to Beth Mead Memorial Fund in care of the funeral home.
