Ann was the daughter of William Samples and Nancy Wilson. She married Absolom E. Hurt (son of Garland Hurt and Martisha Thurston) in 1823. They had twelve children:

Find A Grave contributor James Turner Harris has made a suggestion to you (8-22-13) regarding your Find A Grave memorial for Anna Hurt.

A child "Sparrel Hurt b. -1847" appears on the list of children that raises a question. Anna supposedly died in 1845 and Absolom supposed did not marry again until June 29, 1849. There is a problem here. Sparrel does not appear in the 1850 census to help answer the question. Do you have an answer for that problem?
