Alica Plumpton was the wife of John le Boteler and the daughter of Sir William Plumpton.
She first married in 1352, Sir Richard Sherburne, Knight of Aighton, who died in 1361 and was the son of Sir John Sherburne. Alice married for a second time in 1364 to Sir John le Boteler of Bewsey in Warrington. Sir John died in 1400 and was the son of Willim le Boteler of Bewsey and Elizabeth de Havering (Harrington), daughter of Nicholas de Harington. Sir John Boteler was a member of parliament in 1366, 1372, 1376-1378 and 1380. He was the Baron of Warrington and fought in gascony in 1369-1370.
Alica survived her husband. She held Laton. She was mentioned in April 4, 1404 as having one fee for her dower, and again on November 16, 1408 when Henry, archbishop of York, granted her, as the widow of Sir John le Boteler of Warrington, a license to have a chaplain to celebrate mass before herself and her children.
