Sgt. U.S. Army, Vietnam War-Sgt. Baker died in the line of duty on 7-12-1969 while serving as a Firefighter {51M40} with the 114th Engineer Detachment. Sgt. Baker started his tour of Vietnam on May 31, 1968.

He is the son of Mr. & Mrs. John J. Baker of East Springfield, Illinois, and is a 1966 graduate of Lanphier H.S.

Awards: Vietnam Service Medal with Three Service Stars, Vietnam Campaign Medal, National Defense Service Medal.
