On Sept. 12, 1831 at Morristown (by Rev. John Orcutt), Jehiel m. as her 1st husband, Rebecca Ferrin, dau. of John Ferrin and Hannah Jacobs, b. in 1813 at Croydon, NH. She d. in 1898. According to Morristown records, in 1895 their only son purchased a block at Pleasant View Cemetery on the south side of the Village (now Town) of Morrisville. Those records indicate Jehiel, after removal from elsewhere, and his wife Rebecca Ferrin are both interred with their only known child at Pleaseant View Cemetery. They were the parents of Gov. George Whitman Hendee.
