James Wilbur Crayne of Dormont, died Sunday, January 29, 1961, in St. Clair Memorial Hospital. Death was due to a cerebral hemorrhage. Mr. Crayne was a son of Stephen Bell Crayne and was born at Lippencott. He graduated in 1923 from the Eckels School of Embalming in Philadelphia and was in the undertaking business 23 years. Mr. Crayne resided for 17 years in the Pittsburgh area. During that time he was associated for 12 years with the Hanolin Funerall Home in East Liberty. For several years before his death he was head of the maintenance department of the U. S. Steel Company plant at Homestead. Mr. Crayne was a member of Dormont Presbyterian Church and of the Pittsburgh Chapter of the Sons of the American Revolution. Surviving are his wife, Bertha Garrett Crayne; one daughter, Miss Betty Jane Crayne, at home; and three brothers, Harry Crayne of Waynesburg R. D. 6; Lawson Crayne of Waynesburg R. D. 1, and Robert Crayne of Clarksville.
