AT SOUTH THOMASTON - Mrs. Agnes G. Hodsdon, 77, Sunday. Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 2 p.m. at the Burpee Funeral Home.

SOUTH THOMASTON - Mrs. Agnes Hodsdon, 77, wife of Cmdr, Richard Hodsdon (USN Ret.) died Sunday after a long illness. She was born at South Thomaston Jan. 24, 1885, daughter of George and Kate Spaulding Green. She is survived by a grandson, two sisters, Mrs. Lizette Emery, Rochland, and Mrs. Scott Kittredge, South Thomaston; and a nephew, Capt. Scott Kittredge, USN, South Thomaston. Mrs. Hodsdon was a member of the Diligent Dames of the Congregational Church and the South Thomaston Community Service Club. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday from 110 Limerock St., Rockland, with the Rev. Charles R. Monteith officiating. Interment will be in teh Village Cemetery, South Thomaston.

Word has just been received of the death of Mrs. Richard Hodsdon of Arlington, Va. on Feb 18. Her husband Richard Hodsdon, now a retired Navy officer, was a former headmaster at McGraw Normal Institute, Reeds Ferry. He and Mrs. Hodsdon took an active part in community affairs and were members of teh Merrimack Congregational church. Besides her husband, she is survived by two sisters living in Maine, and a grandson Richard Hodsdon, whose father Spalding, only child of teh Hodsdons, was killed piloting a Navy plane, in an air collision, in 1949.
